Because a football player didn't know the rules, this CFL game ended in an absurd manner

In a tie game with just over a minute left, a wide receiver, CJ Sims, accidentally conceded a "rouge" when he accidentally threw the ball into the endzone. Touchbacks are not available in the Canadian Football League (CFL), and Sims, a former New Mexico Highlands University wide receiver, was unaware of this rule. He accidentally conceded a single point score, which occurs when the ball is kicked into the endzone without an attempt to return it. While this decision may be tactical, it is not the moment to make it, especially when the team is out of timeouts. Saskatchewan won 12-11, leaving Sims to lick his wounds. He will likely remember the rule now, or the lack thereof.
